Is a mobile mechanic cheaper than a garage?
Usually, yes — there's no workshop overhead priced into the labour, and you're not paying for a courtesy car or a day off work. You also see the job being done, which most garages can't offer.
Where do you need the car to be?
A driveway, car park or a safe stretch of residential road all work. I need enough room to open the bonnet and get a jack alongside. Multi-storey car parks and red routes are the only regular no-go.
Do you supply the parts?
Yes — quality branded parts sourced the same day where I can, and the price is included in the quote. If you'd rather supply your own, that's fine, but the parts warranty is then yours.
Can you do an MOT?
An MOT itself has to be done at an approved test centre. What I can do is a pre-MOT check so nothing fails on the day, and any repairs after a failure.
What if it turns out to need a ramp?
I'll tell you before charging for work I can't finish, explain what the job really needs, and point you to the right place. That honesty is why most of my work is repeat and referral.
How do I pay?
Card or bank transfer when the job is finished. Price is agreed before anything is touched.
